Quick way to isolate a garden faucet with a C x C valve.
I wanted a slick installation at washing machine hoses and an in-shop hook-up for a pressure washer. This fitting creates a garden hose outlet wherever you've put a C x C valve in a branch line. Also perfect for drain down (low points) and high point (vents) that are to be capped when not in use. And it is convenient for temporary water use at an inserted tee during construction.

Just what I needed
I used this and three other fittings to rebuild the valve on an old JetBlast Drain Blaster after the original one broke.
I made a 3/4 GHT adapter->copper stub->ball valve->copper stub->reducing coupling->hose barb adapter assembly. Far better and easier to control, and the brass barb is superior to the original plastic one.
