Fantech's versatile FG Series Inline Fans are virtually airtight. Galvanized steel housings meet code requirements for both residential and commercial applications. High quality ebm-papst motors ensure long life and dependable performance. The FG Series features new longer duct connections for easier installation. Fans are prewired and include the bracket for mounting to wall or ceiling. Straight-through airflow allows fans to be installed at any angle at any point along the duct work.

works very well and easy to install depending on location
inline fan and if installed properly and using muffler cuts down on fan noise at hood . I would recommend that fan should be installed in an area that is easy to get to always have an access panel. The last fan I installed lasted ten years before sealed bearings started to make noise, the old unit still runs and i will use it in a shop area to remove soldering and welding fumes.

Great fan, but serious flaws with mounting bracket
The fan is powerful, quiet, and sturdy. However, if you mount the fan using the included mount and the included hardware, the screws will protrude into the turbine and prevent it from turning. This nearly led to the motor burning out, but after the smell dissipated, all was fine. There are no detailed instructions or cautions in the installation manual regarding mounting, and I've read similar comments in other reviews. I'm sure I did something stupid, but having used all included hardware and according to the limited instructions, I don't see what I could have done wrong!

Fan worked great!
The original one came damaged and supply house made it correct immediately. The new fan was installed worked great and was quiet. I would buy again from supply house and from fan tech.

Does the job. A little noisy.
Use this fan as an air exchanger in an older performance space at a theater to move hot air from the second floor to the first floor. The fan does a great job using 8" round duct. The fan makes a minor humm when the speed control is used to reduce the speed but it is acceptable.

Smooth, efficient
Used this to pull workshop air though a MERV12 filter and redistribute. Works well. You need 1/4" sheet metal screws to attach duct- which I couldn't find - wound up grinding down some longer ones.

Great fan, but serious flaws with mounting bracket
The fan is powerful, quiet, and sturdy. However, if you mount the fan using the included mount and the included hardware, the screws will protrude into the turbine and prevent it from turning. This nearly led to the motor burning out, but after the smell dissipated, all was fine. There are no detailed instructions or cautions in the installation manual regarding mounting, and I've read similar comments in other reviews.
