My manager loves it
I'm a newer tech and I'm also a bit of a nerd when it comes to my equipment. I like high quality tech centered items.
This said when I call my manager when having issues he loves that I'm able to take a screenshot and in a glance he has a 360* view of the system.
Don't get me wrong, I love it too. Automatically calculated superheats and subcool is all awesome. The app can be minorly glitchy but after a month of using I'm still super happy with my purchase.

I would not buy this again
Fieldpiece has a really good concept going here. Great display when used with the app, real time metrics, but the tools need to work!
Hooked these up for the first time and everything seemed great, execpt the temperature clamps. Superheat calculation said the fixed orifice was flooding the compressor with no other indicators of an airflow issue, slugging compressor, or high head. Myself and another tech troubleshot for an hour and a half just to find out it was an incorrect reading coming from the clamp itself. Ran to the shop, grabbed a different brand clamp and Superheat came out perfect....
Shame on us for not trusting our gut and relying so heavily on the tool, but at the end of the day we need tools that we can trust as gospel. At the end of the day field piece doesn't take it on the chin when a tool malfunctions, we do

Fieldpiece customer service is HORRENDOUS
You may get a year or two out of these probes - but don't expect the Fieldpeice to be willing to communicate with you if you have any issues.

Great product easy to use.
I have a similar product from another manufacturer. The Fieldpiece is a definite improvement. The range is superior and the app is an improvement to use and read. With the addition of the air probes there is a significant amount of information obtained quickly and easily.

Time saver I think.
So far the probes have been nice, they save some time, beat lugging around a set of gauges and work as expected. I do not use the pressure probes on every unit but I do use the clamps and psychrometer probes on almost every unit I touch. If the probes last they will have been a good investment.

If you buy , know what you're getting
Pros. They look good, seem to be durable, easy to use; the app "when it's usable" is excellent.
Cons Rain, Rain, Rain, I can't say this enough about Fieldpiece products, don't get them wet; I know it's a tool you use outside, so rain should not be an issue, but it seems to be with every tool I get from them, and I have pretty much all of them.
As for the app, when I bought this product, I was told it would work without the need to be online. (you must have the app on your phone to use this product), it only needs the app and Bluetooth;
I found it was not working without an online connection on my last call. This problem may not be an issue for some buyers, but I would keep backup gauges on the truck.
