Real problem solver
As in most homes my thermostat is wired to the hallway where the reading is effected by a number of sources, like stairs, no sunlight and the front door. Placing this in my living room and designating the remote as the main thermostat has kept the first floor uniform and I think overall the system runs less. I had issues where the rooms were to hot or too cold I guess due to what was happening in the hallway. That does not happen anymore. Also the installer code to configure is the date code. Be careful not to install where it gets hit by direct sunlight, this throws the readings way off.

Not what I expected!
Purchased to monitor crawl space temp during winter months. Deceived by pic and literature in EIM install guide. Will not simply display temp and no sense using for temperature averaging control. Per tech support, meant to be used for humidity control if using in crawl space. Again, deceived by install guide! All said, an unnecessary module for my needs.

Easy Problem Solver
I upgraded my thermostat recently and added one of these to each bedroom upstairs. Problems of one room being too cold are now solved. It's great to distribute the heating and A/C more evenly throughout the house. Great idea and great/easy to deploy product.

RedLINK Enabled Wireless Indoor Air Sensor
Indoor Sensor works very well. Wirelessly Picks up the indoor temperature and indoor humidity so no fussing with wires. Extremely easy to connect to redline enabled thermostats.

Easy and useful
Delivery was fast and installation was easy. My thermostat is placed in a room that's warmer than the rest of the house. Neither these wireless sensors, it's moreeven and more comfortable.

Works fine with my ComforNet Thermostat
I had to replace one of my current sensors under warranty because it was going through a set of batteries each week. The replacement has been working great though. I highly recommend the sensors to help even out the temp throughout your home.

Works great with Comfortnet Setup
I use the Wireless Gateway to connect my Daikan CTK04 Comfortnet Thermostat to the internet and add 2 wireless indoor temp sensors along with a wireless outdoor sensor. This is a must have for anyone using the Comfortnet setup. I have no complaints about it and everything is working great. The additional sensors really helped even out the temps inside and made a world of difference when combining with my new Inverter Heat Pump.

Display would be nice
I purchased two of these for our Honeywell red link IAQ stat. My ONLY complaint would be that there's no display on the sensor itself.
One is used with the stat to average the temperature between the two (or up to six can be used I believe) locations. IE the stat and sensor.
The second sensor is being used for dehumidification only. This is programmable through the stat.

Q: What is the effective communications range between this unit and the thermostat? How do walls (interior and exterior) affect the signal strength? I need to send a signal through a masonry wall, is this possible?

I've had them work through 3 vertical floors, though the floors were of wood construction. The RedLink protocol is proprietary, and I haven't had any luck finding out what it's based on. I also haven't had any issues transmitting through exterior walls with the outdoor temperature sensor. Note that this unit is not waterproof, so it should only be used indoors.
