Features
- Designed with the higher capacity normally required by North American heating systems.
- Valve seat disc, which is made of resilient material (EPDM), ensures tight shutoff on steam or hot water systems.
- Nickel-plated bronze casted body with working parts in cartridge insert for ease of service.
- All working parts are replaceable using service tool (MT100C1011) while valve remains in service, in-line, under pressure.
- Valves normally open without control mounted.
- Valves may be used with T104 Thermostatic Actuators.
- Meet ASHRAE Standard 102-1989

Excellent Product, with slight wrinkle
The valve is well-made and I expect many years of trouble free service. However, I did have trouble when I attempted to thread it to the existing spud nipple. The threads did not fit, requiring the removal of the old nipple and the installation of the new one (comes with the valve). Careful about not damaging the threads while attempting to fasten it on the old nipple. Having to replace the spud nipple complicates the installation, of course, particularly for the do-it-yourselfer. I do note that installing the new nipple is probably advisable in most instances anyway in order to reduce the risk of leaks. (Some valve manufacturers advertise that their product often fits on existing nipples, however.)
