Replacement Cartridge for VCZMS6100

The VCZZ6100 cartridge is a Honeywell manufactured replacement cartridge for the Honeywell VCZMS6100 3/W valve. The replacement cartridge also comes with the special wrench required for removal and re-assembly. The included instructions, if you bother to read such things, are good enough. The cartridge fits and works perfectly--it better, it's a factory replacement--and according to Honeywell restores the valve to factory specs. Pexsupply's price was very competitive and they shipped it out quickly. The only problem I had with this order was pexsupply originally shipped the wrong part; they sent the replacement cartridge for the 2/W version of this valve. Customer service was unperturbed by this, offered an obligatory apology, and ensured me management would pick and pack the correct part. My customer, who had no hot water, would just have to wait another day. The correct part arrived at the expected date.

Honeywell 3 way valves don't last longer than 2-3 yrs max. IMHO My Wiel Mclain Gtc gold series tankless boilers were installed in 2009. I have replaced 5 valves on them already. Moisture, minerals and a corrosion (rust like mineral build up) on the valve inside. This Causes it to fail. Btw Honeywell makes the valve actuators too. Not sure how a mostly plastic n o-rings valve, can rust up n get stuck with minerals, in a city drinking water system. That is beyond me. But a new on e every other year or two ? Is a bit much. I drink thus water too ? Except u can't heat ur home n water without the two of them. Yet the prices go up n the model Sku's/ #'s keep changing. Now I can't even walk into a plumbing supply store to get them ( what a local racket). Thank goodness for Supply House. Even if they constantly keep changing sku's n model numbers. Which even stumps their service reps, too.
