LG Mini-Split, Duct-Free Air Conditioning Installation & Warranty Info

We recommend the installation of all LG Ductless Split Systems to be done by a licensed, trained & qualified HVAC technician with the proper knowledge and background. A trained technician will be able to judge the best location for the air handling (evaporator) unit and also the correct size for the area it has to cool.

Should you experience an issue during the installation or the initial startup of the unit please do not contact the manufacturer. You should have the technician that installed the units contact us or the manufacturer. LG cannot accept any service or warranty calls from anybody but a licensed HVAC technician.

Neither we or LG Electronics U.S.A. can be held liable for improper installation and operation of any LG air conditioning product purchased from our company. Should a warranty issue arise where parts will need to be replaced, an installation receipt will be required along with your sales receipt. Failure to provide a receipt or invoice may result in the warranty not being honored.

Note: Warranties on mini split air conditioners only include parts and do not include labor. The licensed HVAC Technician who installs your air conditioner should always provide you with a labor warranty (preferably for a full year to compliment the manufacturers' parts warranty).

Watch out

I bought three of these. Two have been mounted above door ways with the intent of easy servicing. Now I ran into the problem that there are two filter access versions. One where you access the filter from the top, and the other from the front. It never crossed my mind that you would access the filter from anywhere else than the front, because that is the way I clean the filter on another non-LG unit here at my place. I have ordered a new attachment for my vacuum cleaner to access the top filter. If that doesn't work, I'll have to replace these two with a front access model :-(

Never would I buy this brand again.

I bought a dual lg mini split from supply house with a 9000 btu and 24000 btu indoor head. When I had the HVaC company install it, after much expensive teoubleshooting with LG and my HVac company, found that both heads where bad. At first LG wanted to only change the internal boards and led displays to try to have my HVac guys repair them. I WAITED a month before LG and supplyhouse said they where still backordered on those parts and would send me whole new head units. So the brand new unit cost me over 2700 dollars extra in HVAC charged beyond the original install costs, just to fix LG detective parts, which never even worked on the first day they were installed. DO NOT go with LG. This process took from June when it was ordered until OCTOBER until i finally had a working system.

Great product

I have purchased quite a few of these and have not run into any issues. The units are efficient quiet easy to install and are considerably less than other brands.

Wish I had gone Mitsubishi instead

My largest unit works great, but most the 9K units want to drip water down the back of the blowers. I have one nearly dissembled, can't find any icing, or find any sane reason why the water drips off the blowers onto the fan blades. Neither can any technicians who come out. No support for LGs in the area. If I had to do it again, Id go with Mitsubishi.

ASK A QUESTION

Q: Does this have a line set with a communication cable or does it use an individual thermostat wire? What parts do I need to hook up to the outside condenser unit? I already have the condenser that's compatible
