These work well in sloped soffits
I bought these to use in sloped soffits because they are smaller than most and can be installed so that they stay shut easily. If you install so the air blows uphill then the damp will stay shut better when the fan is off. Other soffit vents either have a spring loaded damper which takes up lots of space or has two dampers, one out each side, and those have a tendency to open easier when not in use.

cheap plastic
This was a replacement. The first one arrived broken. It's plastic so it's kind of cheaply made. I would recommend it if you can't find anything else you are looking for. We couldn't find anything else.

Works but cheap plastic
I bought 2 of these but the first one broke on install. The flapper on second one does not close 100% but it does work. It is nice to use in the eve vent for stove as it directs the heat/moisture away from the eve and not sucked back into atic.

Verified Reply- SupplyHouseHi Larry! These come only in brown (143B) and white (143W). They are paintable. They are made out of plastic so you may want to scuff the surface up it a little to aid in the paint adhering to it.
