The Panasonic EZSV14 EZ Soffit Vent with Soffit Termination System allows for complete ducting in a single trip before soffit installation, helping optimize airflow. This means no excessive handling by a siding contractor and no risk of compromised airflow. All they need to do is cut a hole for the grille and the vent fan's body snap-fits easily into the mounting bracket. The grille can be rotated so discharge aligns with ductwork and the vent's low-resistance back damper eliminates drafts and improves test results. Unlike roof and wall penetrations, there's minimal risk of water intrusion with this vent. The EZ Soffit Vent has a versatile soffit termination system that enables optimal airflow and improves overall fan performance, resulting in fewer customer callbacks and lower total installed costs. It is designed for fans up to 110 CFM using 4" ductwork.

used in old house with lots of room (2X8 rafters) in the overhang area. These things are big. I do really like the capability to rotate the fixture when installed in the bracket. That said, these would work better for a soffit area that is level. Mine was not as it follows the roofline angle. Instead of mounting on the fascia board I mounted to the rafter to keep the angle correct. Doing this eliminates the use of the damper as it now remains partially open. I can get away with this as the Panasonic bathroom fans that I installed already have a backflow damper engineered into them. The grill is quite coarse and will allow wasps to nest so I backed the grill up with a piece of screen with 1/8" holes. All-in-all I am impressed with these soffit vents. Very low profile up against the soffit

Disappointed in this product
Great idea, but poor design, My master carpenter who installed this item had to cut off the mounting bracket and fabricate a new installation method. He stated that he cannot imagine ever seeing a soffit that these vents would easily fit, and he has 50 years of experience! We made them work because we had to get the job done, but it cost me too much money in extra labor.

I would definitely use this again!
This vent worked perfectly for my bathroom vent fans! I installed them in my soffit on the north side of my house. They nearly eliminated the cold wind from back drafting into my bathroom! They seem well made and look very nice installed.

I'm vending out exhaust fans at a house. And these work well in soffit because they come apart and you can attach them to the roof truss.

I would buy this product with new construction.
I like the swivel concept for a more direct & clear exhaust, but needs to have an option for "old works" (existing construction) to make installation easier. Also needs to include a screen to keep insects out, I had to make my own.

Replacing all my vents with these
Finally a vent that can stand the abuse of salt water front home. This is the third soffit vent I've tried. First two had metallic parts supported back-flow closure. Springs. Rusted and became non functional (stuck open) in a couple of months. This vent is all high quality plastic and relies on gravity to close back flow. Wind will only make it tighter. Previous ones were major source of outside air and bug intrusion.
