After I thought the relay was bad, mine continued to buzz as well. The harness that holds the fuse is where my problem was. I had tried to replace the fuse with a different fuse and it was shorting out. After replacing the harness, everything went back to normal Alain
You say that your old transformer was dead...Your question implies that the "buzzing" occurred before replacing the part. If that's the case (if your relay DID buzz before replacing the fan center) your old transformer was probably not at fault and the problem lies elsewhere.
I shorted out the relay to prove it was bad. Though i don't recommend this as it smoked the transformer. But i looked up the information for free with the boiler model # under manuals and used the trouble shooting guide inside. The manual that i used was from (gold cga gas fired water broiler).
