Works as Refill for Noritz ScaleShield SS-HB-1
A couple years ago, I installed a Noritz ScaleShield SS-HB-1 to go with a new Noritz tankless water heater. Much to my disappointment, Noritz discontinued the SS-HB-1 and no longer offers replacement cartridges. After reviewing some options, I decided to give this Rinnai ScaleCutter replacement cartridge a shot. The Rinnai ScaleCutter cartridge is the same "ScaleStick" brand as the Noritz ScaleShield SS-HB-1 cartridge I was replacing, and it turned out to be a perfect fit for my existing Noritz housing! As a bonus, this Rinnai refill cartridge is a higher capacity version of the "ScaleStick" than what Noritz included with their product, so should provide longer life between change-outs. Highly recommended as a replacement cartridge option for Noritz ScaleShield SS-HB-1 owners.

Replacement cartridge
I have been replacing descaling cartridges for a different brand for years. This is my first Rinnai. The original cartridge only lasted about 5 months. When I replaced it with the refill, the descaling beads disappeared after a week. When I called Supply House customer service, I was disappointed that they no longer have experienced people who help with technical support. He couldn't even tell me that the refill was not properly installed. He just googled the information. Supply House used to be a real supply house with technicians and contractors. Now it's just another online store.

Always have the scale cutter refill in stock, works great and last along time.and you get all the parts you need to change it, new gasket and instructions. Always have a answer to any question you might have and FASTTTTTTTTTTTTTT shipping. why shop anywhere else

Used in a tankless water heater. The product was delivered quickly and was installed effortlessly. I would use Supply House again as my local supply store would have taken three weeks to get the product.
