SBTL54 Insert is required when making a connection to PEX. A PEX to PEX connection requires (2) SBTL54 Inserts, one for each end. This insert is sold separately.
Underground burial of SharkBite brass fittings requires that the fitting be wrapped using silicone wrap (25406A).
The SharkBite Large Diameter Slip Coupling is a plumbing repair fitting that allows you to make quick, easy repairs to Copper, CPVC, and HDPE pipe. This fitting allows up to 2 inches of damaged pipe to be removed and repaired. When making a repair, simply cut out a section of pipe no greater than 2 inches, and connect the slip end of the fitting onto one side. Then, take the Demount Clip and slide the slip end of the fitting along the pipe to connect the other pipe. The slip coupling is particularly useful for burst or frozen pipes.

Great Product

Verified Reply- SupplyHouse StaffSharkbite is only compatible with OD controlled CPVC, it is not compatible with schedule 40 pipe.

Q: Does the 1 1/4 Sharbite 2xl slip coupling include the Shark shifter demount tool required to slide the coupling back toward the other pipe section? If not where does one buy the tool? does PEXSupply carry this tool?
