No it does not, the pump will only be running when there is a call for heat.
When using zone 6 while switched to priority when that zone is actuated all other zones will stop operation and the system will fulfill zone six's need until it is satisfied. If the system calls to zone six continuously for more than an hour power returns to the other zones and then they will all function independently.
This control will work with six zone valves and six thermostats. It can also handle a circulator pump. To install a second circulator pump for domestic hot water, you will wire that pump to the priority zone 6 on the back of the panel with the jumper connection. This control will work with six zone valves and six thermostats. It can also handle a circulator pump, but you would need to link an additional switching relay to it if you plan to use multiple circulators. We would recommend Taco Zone Sentry valves.
