The TK-540P-PIH heater integrates a recirculation pump to provide instant hot water in residential applications with dedicated recirculation lines. The pump is easily controlled with a simple user interface and multiple pump settings allow you to customize pump operation to meet your needs while maximizing heater efficiency. As part of the high efficiency tankless family, the 540P series provides endless hot water while being environmentally friendly.
The TK-540P-PIH indoor tankless water heater uses up to 199,000 BTU/hr of liquid propane to deliver an endless supply of hot water for a 3 bath home in northern climates and a 4 bath home in southern climates. It is built with commercial grade materials like marine-grade 316L stainless steel giving it an industry-leading warranty.

Excellent, but new-to-tankless need to know
I installed this last month and wanted to give it some time before reviewing.
It was very easy to install. We had plumbing to reroute because of our old tank location vs the new tankless, but that had nothing to do with brand/model vs generalities.
Start-up went easy; everything's been a piece of cake.
I tried writing a breakdown of why tankless heaters in the default configuration aren't a great sell for low-water-flow users but I ran out of room, so I'll be brief and say it this way:
the default configuration with this recirc system *encourages excess water use*
If you try to only use a bit of hot water, you end up with cold water and are forced to find a way to use more hot water to provoke the heater into heating it. Even with the built-in recirc, this will happen, as if you're not using 0.5gpm of hot and the recirc line is happily warm enough, the tankless will not realize that, despite the function of the recirc to make sure this doesn't happen, it does.
The solution to this is to tie the recirc return and the cold together at the recirc input and cap the cold input. The water heater will run more often, but you can use 0.1 gpm of hot if you want and it won't turn cold.

This is a great heater with tons of capacity.
There are two types of home improvement projects I hate; painting and plumbing! A plumber quoted me $5K to install a lesser quality tankless heater and I'm a little cheap so I figured I'd struggle with plumbing and save a few thousand dollars.
I bought this unit to replace my leaking 100 gallon tank style water heater. All the connections were super easy to do although you need to pay special attention to the plumbing and programming instructions. Read the programming steps carefully before setting it up. Follow them exactly otherwise the heater will not function.
The unit I bought has the built in recirculation pump which works great provided you install the check valve! The plumbing diagram detail is pretty poor so review the plumbing diagram very carefully.
The crew at Supply House were really helpful selecting all the necessary valves to go with the unit. All in I've got about $1,600 into my install and I couldn't be happier.
