I use this thermostat in occasional use zones where remote control and schedule programs don't add value. This one is being used to control radiant hydronic in a garage/workshop application.

This unit is terrific BUT, the instructions are not very clear when installing this to replace the earlier model. The wires are not labeled exactly the same...so it took using the suggested jump wire to get this up and running.

Replaced original 518 thermostat with new model and it was a much improved product. Very easy to install and new cover is more reliable.

Little spendy compared to some but, I needed the in floor sensor

A good product, it's everything I expected it to be.

There are a lot to chose from and the technician got me the correct one. Used it for my infloor heating.

I bought the Tekmar 518 to replace my older 508 thermostat which had malfunctioned and stopped working. I looked around and found the SupplyHouse had the best prices. I talked wtih a representative to make certain that this was the proper and best replacement option for my needs. The representative, I do not recall her name, was excellent and I went ahead and ordered the 518. She knew I was DIYing the replacement and sent the installation instructions with the purchase as an added bonus; the instructions are online, but I thought it was good customer service to have provided them separately from the packaging. The install was seamless and without any issues. Overall an excellent product and I would purchase again if I needed another one.

I purchased these to replace the Stadler/Viega "contact point" thermostats on a radiant floor heating system. They are a marked improvement. Setting the desired temperature is much easier and they provide a 'notice' (heat on) as opposed to having to move the dial and listen for the contacts to open/close. The service provided by supplyhouse is top shelf, both with the initial purchase and a follow up warranty claim.

Our non-digital thermostat working with our Watts Radiant hydronic floor heating system was acting up when it was hot outside. Watts Radiant support could only tell us to replace the thermostat and could not or would not explain the reason behind the failure of the thermostat. I decided to buy the replacement thermostat, which is a digital 1-stage heat thermostat made by Tekmar, a Watts Radiant company. So far, in our current hot weather, the thermostat is holding up and acting as it should, i.e., not calling for heat! So far, so good.
