No, this unit does not seem to be heat pump compatible. The SKU: 1F89-211 is a non-programmable single stage thermostat that would be heat pump compatible.
Hello, The snowflake icon is displayed when the system is in the cool position. Thanks,
impossible to tell what, there are many things that can wrongs.
yes it will
The heat differential for this thermostat is a maximum of 1.5 degrees F. The cooling differential is 1.2 degrees F.
You can reset the thermostat by pressing the "up" and "down" buttons simultaneously and moving the SYSTEM switch from OFF to HEAT at the same time. This also resets the factory defaults to the configuration menu.
To turn unit off, slide the System switch to OFF.
The thermostat is calling for heat.
You can select for the backlight to be on or off by hitting the UP and DOWN (arrow) buttons at the same time.
I think you are referring to the little black switch located where the wires attach to the terminal above it. If this is what you are talking about to the left of the switch you see (elect and to right right you gas ) This is the position the switch is in for the type of system you have. If you have electric heat the switch is to the left. If gas heat the position is to the right. If you have this thermostat an instruction book should've came with it. hopefully this helps you
Update to question: This is a switch to energize fan for call of heat. If your system is heat or heat pump that requires the thermostat to energize fan immediately on call for heat put switch in electric position. If you have a computer go to pexsupply.com , locate thermostat IF86-344, click on it and when it goes to it click on manuals, then click on installation instructions and it will tell you all about operation. Their will be a picture of inside of thermostat and to left it will explain installation of it
