Perfect!

The board in my Lennox G40 started to fail (cooling fan relay was dropping out intermittently) so I decided to replace it with this board which is indicated as one of the replacement options. It's the cheapest of all of the options and is the closest in size meaning all of the same holes line up. Also, the indicator LED is in the right place to see it from the original window of my furnace cover. I removed the unit from the plastic cover due to space reasons and figured it will probably get better cooling that way. It snapped into the same posts for the old board and all of the wires were simply plug and play into the same places. Made a couple of adjustments to the jumpers to match my old boards logic and test it out. Everything works perfectly! I would definitely purchase this again. A great and inexpensive solution and extremely easy to install. Took about 15 minutes. Supply House had the best price (of course) and shipped it super fast (as usual).

It works, til it doesn't. This is how you can fix it

I've had two of these now. They each worked for about a year, then went into a fault that fried my blower motor. If you have one of these integrated furnace controls I would HIGHLY recommend only connecting one fan speed from your blower motor to this board. The board has a heat blower setting and a cool blower setting. Normally people use high blower speed for AC/Cool and medium speed for heat/furnace. The fault that happens with this board is that the relay that switches power onto the heat/cool settings will short out and provide power to BOTH heat and cool fan speeds at the same time! When your blower receives power on two different fan speeds at once it will blow it up and you'll be looking for a new motor. My suggestion is, during the summer unplug the heat fan setting from the board and only connect your high speed fan leg to the cool blower setting. Put a cap on the open end of your other blower wires. During the winter unplug the cool blower setting from your motor and plug in your medium speed fan to the heat terminal. Keeping only one plugged in at a time will prevent this boards defect from destroying your blower motor and prevent you from having to replace the board as well. This is an extremely common issue with this board and it always happens around 1 year after installation

I would recommend

So far it's been working, and I'm happy with it. I have a Trane and it came with the jumper wire I needed for R1 to R3 which was easy to install in the 12 pin connector. It also came with other wires that I added to my extras. I have noticed that when it's quiet and the furnace and blower are running that I can hear in the vent what sounds like the blower slowed down just a little and maintained the same speed. Idk for sure what I'm hearing but sounds kind of like a quick pause in the supply vent when the blowers on. I read where someone else said that after around a year or so his sent current down the high speed and low speed at the same time causing blower motor problems and he recommended only hooking up the low speed wire during the winter and then only the high speed during the summer that way current can't be sent down both at the same time. I'm thinking about disconnecting the high speed connection since I'm only running my furnace and seeing if the slight pause I hear goes away.

I have bought this product before! That's why I bought again

For me, it was easy to install. Just snap the board in and plug all the wires in. Simple. The people at Supply House are great! They got the parts to us the next day. Which was the best part. We are about to go through a severely cold snap. I was able to get our furnace up and running in time. The prices are really great too!

Easy as can be

Old board had solder connections start to fail. Installed this in 10 minutes. Take a few pictures of the old board and even put labels on the wires if need be for easy installation when you swap them out.
