Comments about 86,000 BTU Output Prestige Solo 110 Condensing Gas Boiler w/ TriMax Control (NG):

Good way through the first heating season with thus unit and it has performed flawlessly. This was a DIY installation and from the minute I powered it up it has operated with no issues and my latest gas bill (during a bitter cold winter) was Down by 25%. This along with a Honeywell learning thermostat the house is also much more comfortable as the radiator heat no longer overshoots and gets cold between cycles. With the outside temperature factored into the boiler temperature the house temperature varies very little regardless of how cold or warm it is outside.
I realize other boilers have some of the same features and will probable perform similarly but the simplicity of this unit is impressive.
Time will tell but so far really good.

        Easy Installation excellent boilers

Comments about 86,000 BTU Output Prestige Solo 110 Condensing Gas Boiler w/ TriMax Control (NG):

I bought two of these boilers for post-storm heat restoration in a commercial building. Installation was straightforward and start-up was uneventful. The TriangleTube tech team sized the external circulation pumps for two loops of differing length efficiently and were in general totally helpful. I will mention two minor faults in hopes the manufacturer will take notice: 1. both left-hand latches for the tip-down control panel failed to engage, so any juggling during installation releases the right latch and the panel falls, quality control problem. 2, The electrical knock-outs in the bottom rail are PHENOMENALLY hard to knock out, meaning full force hammering with a 1/4 " tipped cold chisel. The bottom rail was distorted in both units before knock-outs were out, die punch for rail needs to penetrate further. Other than that: Fantastic, the units told me water pressure was low and when I had corrected it and when all the air in the system had been purged. Running extremely efficiently as we speak, totally pleased.

Just installed and started using Sept 1, 2012, is working great with the Smart 30 gal water heater. Have not run out of hot water yet. I installed the boiler myself with no problems. The manuals that came with the unit are well written and easy to understand. Very easy to program, no number codes like the old model, would work out of the box with no programing.

I see this can control up to 4 pumps. I need to replace a boiler on a radiant system with 6 zones/pumps. Is that possible with this boiler?

            A:

This boiler operates most efficiently when return water temperatures are as low as possible. Flue gases can normally start to condense when return temperatures are below 150°F to 140°F.

          Q:

          HI,
          I'M INSTALLING THIS TRIANGLE # PT-110
          BOILER WHICH CIRCULATES CENTRAL HEAT
WATER AS WELL AS DOMESTIC WATER. NOW,
IF I USE THE DHW FROM THE BOILER, DOES
THIS WATER CONNECT DIRECTLY TO MY
EXISTING WATER TANK? OR DOES IT REQUIRE
          AUXILIARY HEAT EXCHANGER?

            A:

This boiler can be connected to an indirect water heater. Such tanks generally contain a coil through which boiler water can flow to heat domestic water sitting in the tank. The boiler would not work with a standard tank-style hot water heater.
