Great product!
I bought four of these to upgrade twot water wells that I have. They are a great product and the original units I replaced Had about a 20 year life cycle before the diaphragm failed. In fact just one of my tanks filled at 20 years the others are still in serviceable condition but I replaced all of them to be on the safe side.

maybe I got a bad one
So, I purchased this tank from supplyhouse and it took over a month before it was delivered and when it arrived it was already rusting and had lots of damaged to it from the shipping process. SH customer service (Amanda) was great she schedule another one which took about a week to get to me. This tank had rust on it as well and was chipped in several places on the top.

"Well" made - great product
Bought this to boost my pressure tank capacity, matching the one (same model, same manufacturer) I have had since 2021. Easy to install, and does the work I want it to do, lessening wear on my well pump, and providing better pressure for my extensive landscape irrigation system.

Great Design but there are issues with Quality Control.
I have been using fiberglass tanks with poor results, so I have switched to steel and WELL-X-TROL clearly has the best designed tanks. The problem with the tank I received was there was weld splatter that was left on the tank after the bottom skirt was welded onto the tank. These small beads of metal were then painted over which compromises the protection that the finish provides. These beads come off and there is no paint underneath just bare metal. The other issue I had was the carrier handled the tank in such a rough manner that the bottom of the packaging was gone and the tank was lying on its side in the truck. The tank had a dent in the side of the top air chamber and even though I inspected it, I did not notice it until the truck was long gone. I did not appear the dent effected the integrity of the tank, so I installed it and it is working just fine. Supply House was great to deal with. Best price and prompt delivery. Will definitely buy from them again!

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffThe tanks should be checked every year. You can charge them but if the diaphragm is bad, the whole tank must be replaced.

The whole unit will have to be replaced. The only way it will lose pressure is getting a pin hole leak - cause by abrasive in the water, etc.
