- Mount with motor shaft horizontal. Follow arrow for flow direction.
- Wire per nameplate, purge air from the loop, and verify rotation.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
- Check for air binding if noisy or low flow.
- Replace cartridge if the pump seizes or flow declines.

Q: Are the pump curves available for this pump? I need a circulation pump that will push at least 1 GPM through 110 feet of 1/2" pex tubing in order to activate the tankless propane water heater.

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffPlease refer to pump curve #6 on the left side of the second page of the specifications linked below. As you can see, this circulator can provide 1 GPM of flow as long as head pressure does not exceed 14 feet. http://s3.pexsupply.com/manuals/1333983521886/73761_PROD_FILE.pdf

Q: Are two Bell and Gossett series NBF-25 pumps in series better than one single NBF-36. I have a hot water heating system where the controls and pump are in the basement and the piping goes to the second floor. The system currently has two pumps in series comparable in size to the NBF-25. I am considering replacing it with the NBF-36. Is there a reason to have two pumps?

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffUsing two pumps in series will double your head pressure ratings, but it won't affect the flow capacity. The only advantage to having two pumps is that you'd still get at least some flow should one of them fail.
