Great solution for my need
Used as an escutcheon plate to cover around where the electrical service riser went through the vinyl siding soffit on a Habitat for Humanity house. Had to modify slightly but worked well. Cost & shipping were great.

Misleading Product Description
There's nothing wrong with this flange. It's the incomplete product description that threw me off. I wanted to use this on a 2 1/2" O.D. steam pipe riser as a ceiling flange to stop small debris from falling through the gap between the pipe and the ceiling plaster. Unfortunately this flange has an interior diameter of 3 1/8" so it would help me solve my problem. There is no way I could know that interior diameter from the product description.

Did not come as advertised
The inside dimension was much larger than 2 1/2" IPS. It was more like 3 1/2". However, the return process was simple. They credited my card right away and I didn't even have to send the product back.

Sorry for any confusion regarding this flange. Flanges are listed according to the size of pipe they are designed for. Thus this flange is designed to fit around the outside diameter of a 2-1/2" Iron Pipe Size (IPS) Pipe. This would mean the pipe is 2-1/2" ID and the flange must be closer to the 3-1/8" you are measuring to accommodate the OD of something iron pipe size.
