Complete garbage

I completely hate this thing. 1: It does not produce shower-hot water until it has run for at least 10 minutes. Why this would occur on a tankless heater is beyond me. 2: On the 40-60% of occasions where it makes hot water sufficient for a shower, you get about 1-1/2 minutes of one temperature before it decides to go to another; either up or down. Constantly have to fiddle with the flow rate 3: The absolute most important issue with this heater is that if there is any kind of hinkyness with the electrical connections, such as a loose ground or intermittent power connection, it is capable of throwing 120 volts between the input and output connections. How did I discover this? Was taking a shower one time and I started feeling a tingling electric shock. To make a long story short, I connected a voltmeter between the drain grate and the shower head. I found 118 volts. If you step on the drain grate and adjust the showerhead, This could kill you, right now. I called the factory, they were unaware of the problem, didn't think it was anything notable. The problem is much worse if you use insulating flex connectors to connect up the unit in your installation. I fabricated bonding straps, connecting all the inputs and outputs ON THE HEATER SIDE OF ANY FLEX CONNECTIONS with heavy wire and that solved the shock issue, but the unit still performs like a full on piece of crap. I would give this thing negative stars if possible.

I would buy this product again.`

Ease of installation by my plumber due to very similar configuration as the unit's predecessor model. In the short period since installation, it appears to be delivering my hot water a bit more effectively than my old unit that failed after approx.12 or so years. It's also got a somewhat smaller footprint than my previous unit; a good thing from a space standpoint.

No comparison to big box store on demand heaters

I had two Rheem on demands from HD. I thought the first one was bad, bought a second one, still did not perform. I could run one shower in Washington State and even then I had to turn the valve down to decrease flow. Anyway, I bought this Bosch one and it was night and day. Ran perfect, two showers at once, one shower and multiple sinks no problem. It wasn't even close to how much better this one performed. Of course both were using the same wiring, breakers, etc so it really was apples to apples. I will never try to save a few hundred again on these on demands. This Bosch and a Steible Elton were the only use Electric ones I've used that worked great out of the box.
