The controls on this boiler can work with the Uponor Climate Control system. The Uponor control can control the system, but not the boiler itself.
While we do not have any noise data available, the manufacturer advertises the boiler as "whisper quiet." The product's quiet operation is a result of its fully enclosed housing.
this boiler is quiet...much quieter than the boilers from 20-30 years ago. when firing up and running, it makes an quiet whistling noise that is only really audible within 10 feet or so of the boiler. if your boiler is an enclosed room, it will be good as silent. if it's exposed to the rest of the living space, it's still hardly a bother.
I had one installed in 2005. it is in a laundry/utility room in the middle of the house. it is very quiet! I can not even here it running standing outside the room. My boiler provides hot water, heat through a coil in the air handler, & radiant floor heat! I Love it! Very efficient!
There are many factors that are involved in sizing a boiler. A few of these factors involve the geographical location of the home, type of construction, square footage of the location, amount of insulation, etc. It is recommended that a heat loss of the location is completed by a certified installer to assess what size boiler is needed.
a reputable local HVAC contractor spec'd this model (GB142/30) for my home. 2200 sq feet. It's an older home but it is fully insulated with modern high efficiency windows and doors.
