Really easy install
So simple to install, I almost overthought it.
I was replacing an old Carrier boiler with external aquastat, control, gas valve, etc.
I dismantled the old system and refitted the gas and water lines, installed the Taco circulator, re-ran the electriccal and thermostat wires and hooked up the vent.
I couldn't believe how simple the hook-ups were. I couldn't believe that there was no special wiring or settings.
I threw the switch and set the thermostats and it worked perfectly. Nothing further. Just so beautifully simple. . . .

What an improvment!
I replaced a 40 year old oil fired boiler with this unit. I am amazed at how quiet and efficient this boiler is, compared to the old unit. If you are in the market, make the change. I stuck with the atmospheric boiler due it's simplicity.

So far it exceeds expections
I am very happy with this boiler. This unit is in my home and has reduced my heating bill by an estimted 22%. I leave in Northern Michigan so this savings is big. I would give this unit serious consideratiion if you are looking for a new boiler.

Q: I have a taco 5 zone controller on my existing weil McLean oil boiler and converting to gas boiler will the taco 5 zone controller work on this boiler or does it use a different system for zone control and if so how many zones will it control

Q: Interested in ES2, have alot of questions - 1.)Do you have to use a chimney liner, i have a 7 x 7 flue which has always been gas and in very good condition. 2.)Does ES2 come with a circulator pump- i have 5 taco zone valves and want to use Burnham in-direct water heater. Also,the IQ Control System scares me, is it hard to install ? is it an optional feature?

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffBurnham does require chimney liners with this boiler. See page 8 of the Installation Guide at the link below for more information. The boiler comes standard with a Taco 007 circulator pump. The IQ Control System provides extra options (a touch screen display, as well as outdoor reset, low water cut-off, and high limit plug-in cards), but you do not have to use any of these features. http://s3.pexsupply.com/manuals/1253196590775/17461_PROD_FILE.pdf

Q: I want to purchase a new burnham ES2 series boiler, I am changing from oil to natural gas, My current oil fired boiler has DOE HTG capacity or gross output BTU/HR 129,000. Ratings 112,000 BTU/hr water I also want to purchase an indirect water heater, the specifications mention 99,000 BTU minimum. What's the closest model ? ES2-5? thanks

Q: Chimney Liner size I have a 6" chimney liner installed in my chimney flue. Do I have to install a smaller chimney liner?

Q: I have been told that this unit could need the fan-in-a-can installed with it to provide more air supply. Is this true, have you heard of it needing it in certain applications and if so which would I purchase for this unit?
