Yes, you can use this boiler with an indirect water heater. The indirect will take priority, so you do not need to add extra BTUs to your BTU load.

No, this is not a condensing boiler.
Yes, the P206 will give you more heat, but the ES2 is more efficient. The BTU output is what heat you get out of the boiler after you lose some heat through the chimney and piping. The BTU input is the amount of heat the unit gives off before going through the chimney. BTU input will always be greater than BTU output because some heat is lost through the chimney. Although the ES2 puts out less heat, it is more efficient, and units with higher efficiencies will use less fuel than units that are less efficient.
According to the manufacturer, a clay flue-lined chimney does not meet the venting standards of the unit. This boiler does have a slight condensation so that is most likely the reason you would have to vent the unit with a Type B gas vent or flexible metal which is required by the NFPA 54 code.
It is very reliable. We have not had any issues with the ES2 series.
