Works every time!
Installed several of these Danfoss thermostats and valves. No problems, plus the valves can be serviced easily. Sometimes the valves just need a cleaning.

My NYC apartment is finally comfortably warm
This thermostat is amazing! I tried another product that didn't work. Supply House has great staff who were able to tell my super what valve was needed for my particular radiator. He got it all connected and now, for the first time, my apartment is a comfortable temperature all day! Cannot rate this highly enough.

You need all three products for this to work, but it does control the temperature in a small bedroom very well.

I use this to regulate the heat from individual 1 pipe steam system radiators. I replaced the old vents with Danfoss RA 2000 1ps Thermostatic Radiator Valve and, because I have wooden radiator covers over all but 1 radiator(for that I just needed to attach Sensor Dial without remote to RA 2000 1ps), I used the Remote Setpoint and Sensor-Wall Mount. I live in a condo, and while everyone else is still opening windows or turning on and turing off radiators (we were told to keep on at all times-temperature could reach in excess of 90 degrees), my unit is a comfortable 70-71 degrees-no matter what the outside temperature. No one else's heat is affected by my installations. There is nothing not great about it. Even easy to install (did have to cut holes in radiator cabinets to all for fit-that was hardest challenge).

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffThe temperature range for this product is 45-86 degrees Fahrenheit. The sensor should be about 3-4 feet away at a minimum.

The thermostat's room temperature settings are said to go from 46 deg F up to 82 deg F. These are certainly approximations. Basically, you can set the thermostat so that the air vent is always blocked (the lowest setting) or always open (the highest). Typically, you'll set it in-between, somewhere around "3" on its 5-point range. "Always open" means that your radiator functions as if the RA-2000 were not there. "Always blocked" means your radiator still gets warm when steam comes up, but not hot, because cold air in the radiator cannot escape through the vent, which prevents the radiator from completely filling with new, hot steam. The sensor simply needs to be someplace that samples the air temperature you want for the room as a whole.
