This definitely filled the void.
I had an old roof top exhaust fan quit for the Restaurant Rest Rooms… Changing the motor should've been the easiest part. I received a motor from another company at $100.00 off my local supplier; however, had to remove the Fan Wheel with a pulley. The locking bolt for the wheel on the motor shaft broke off. Couldn't find the exact size Fan Wheel; therefore, I found the complete Exhaust on the Supply House web site for less cost than our Local AC Supply House where I have an account. These days its good to save a few dollars.

Motor is arcing and shorting after four years
Installed March 2021. Ran well enough for four years for intermittent use in our condo's exercise room but motor windings are now arcing and throwing the circuit breaker. Maybe Fantech are using a better motor now than the P-Tech 8163-1751 in this unit. Motor was built in China in May-2020 so everyone might get a COVID pass on this, but still, this was too short a life.

Good product but not as good as the one I had before
My kitchen fan died due to time and usage. I bought the above product as a recommendation from an Hvac guy. However, this product is more noisy than the one I had before. (my prior one was almost silent, but very good at extracting, fumes, cooking smoke etc from my kitchen) Also, my old fan had two settings for high and low, this one only has one speed. In conclusion, this product serves its purpose, but I miss my old one.
