Leaves the rest behind
Does it pull down a vacuum in a timely manner, yes. So do the rest of the pumps in the industry. Why this pump then? Stores oil on itself, OIL CHANGE ON THE FLY, IN 20 SECONDS!!! if you have ever changed your pump oil during a pump down, this alone is the reason to buy this unit. How about the 4 ports to connect to, awesome! The giant port to fill your oil, no funnel, no spills. A lighted view of the oil, not a dark little window that has you tipping your pump to see oil level. Ever had a pump tip over in your van? The square design is much more stable.
I could go on but I hope you're getting what I'm try to convey, hands down , no brainer, the pump to buy. Oh, one last thing, it doesn't cost more than comparable industry brand names.

The pump seized up the minute. I powered it up and neither supplyhouse or field piece did anything to replace the pump

Fieldpiece quality, Supplyhouse service
I've only used this pump 7-8 times so far, so cant say much about longevity, however it is a high quality vacuum pump. Evacuates quickly and the oil changes are fast and convenient.

Absolutely amazing machine..
I do a lot of Ice machines, A/C condensers, walk-in coolers and such.. this thing is absolutely amazing, even with it being the smaller CFM it takes no time to pull a vacuum. Fieldpiece has yet to let me down when it comes to their equipment.
