Evergreen ECM for PSC Blower Motor 1/2, 1/3, 1/4 HP, 1070 RPM (115/230V)

I'm a homeowner whose ICP Gas Furnance PSC Motor tanked and replaced with this Evergreen IM Motor. Motor runs much quieter, especially when calling for Cooling. I updated my Ecobee Premium to run the fan 20min/hr to cycle air more often and cannot hear it. My ICP OEM motor casing included the mount, so I purchased a 4 leg packard mount bracket. Install took me about 4 hours, only because gained access to my secondary hear exchanger coil and had to clean it to improve air flow.

Yes , I installed the motor and the motor worked as expected. The wiring diagram was good all except one wire that had to go on the right terminal. Call the manufacturer distributor and got some answers. I ordered a motor that was a continuous motor and had to install a relay to fix it but it worked out . I should have ordered a CM instead of a IM . Thanks

Easy install to replace a BO 1/3hp 115v PSC motor. New belly band is a must if your old one looks like an erector set. Wiring & configuration is easy with included diagrams.

1/2 HP Carrier motor died suddenly (or perhaps not so suddenly as it was leaking oil apparently), and needed a new motor in the middle of a heat wave. Perfect replacement for a belly band mount (though getting it oriented right can be a little tricky). This motor is longer than the original PDC one, but fits just fine in the furnace. Don't think the 1 HP version (which can be set to 1/2 HP) would fit. Genteq documentation is amazing. This thing is engineered extremely well and they thought of everything. All parts are labeled, wires bundled, plugs oriented and steps explained. There are even YouTube videos that match the manuals so you can't miss. One note - the line voltage terminals on my board couldn't accept a piggyback connector on the terminal block, so I had to wire it directly to the door switch. Everything fired right up the first time. This motor is very quiet, very powerful. Definitely seems more powerful than the old motor. Constant torque is a great feature as well as the ramp up/down. Constant fan is extremely quiet - if you're away from the furnace you will not hear it or the airflow (my refrigerator 30 ft away is literally louder). You can tell Genteq knew a lot of folks who are handy but not in the trade were going to attempt this repair, and as such they made this as easy as possible. Thank you, Genteq.

Love the technology, flexibility, and efficiency this motor offers. I hope it keeps on running for 30 years like the original GE motor did in my York/Luxaire furnace. I'm now considering putting an ECM replacement in my condensing unit for more savings of electric costs and avoid the downtime that could occur when the A/C is needed the most..

I ordered this blower motor to replace the motor in my Ducane 92 series furnace, which is now 17 years old. We have run the fan almost constantly over the past 17 years. I'm a DIY'er, not a pro, and I found the instructions to be well written and easy to follow. I took my time to double check my work and it fired right up. It is much quieter and runs much slower in the always on state, which I really like because the main air return is near where we watch TV and was quite noisy. Now I don't hear it at all. I only hope I get another 17 years out of this one.

Wanted to test out if it was true what people online were saying that an ECM motor is more energy efficient than a PSC motor which usually found in air handlers/ Furnace to save money when running your AC or furnace. Installed it on the very end of the heating season so it only turned on a few hours for heating but because I can check on the Comed website my usage each hour i definitely saw a power decrease when the furnace was running so overall good buy.

I added an Air Scrubber to my airhandler, and wanted a more efficient and quiet blower motor. The Evergreen I'M is a great retrofit motor.
