High-Flow filters
First, these are inexpensive filters...but I bought them for a specific reason. The dual-zone HVAC system in the house is over 20 years old, and the more aggressive/restrictive (micron-level hepa filters) strain the somewhat inefficient return-air ductwork/system. These filters may not grab tiny biological particulates, they are sufficient for pet dander and dust/dirt - while maintaining good return airflow through the system. Second... They are inexpensive enough to do monthly filter changes without worry. The multi-pack allowed for buy a This allows a fresh filter to always be in the HVAC. Finally. The high- flow rate increases cubic meters of air circulated and decreases the amount of time the HVAC runs -- reducing cost.

My a.c. installer says the better the airflow
The better the unit will run.

Great furnace air filters
These basic furnace air filters work great, they are the strongest non-metal reinforced filters on the market. They work great right out of the box, I have tried other brands and they collapsed, even after duct tapping their frames to reinforce them. Ordering them from Supply House was easy with very fast standard shipping and delivery. Good pricing. Supply House thank you for carrying them. I am using them in an electric forced air furnace in upstate NY and cannot use the higher more expensive MERV rated filters, because those restrict the air flow too much and create maintenance issues with my furnace.

Q: Can you tell me the actual measurement of the filter and the MERV rating. I know it says 16x20x1 but I have found some filters actual size is different. For example a P312 actually measures 15 7/8" x 19 5/8" x 7/8". I would also like to know what the MERV rating for these filters is. Thanks!

Verified Reply- SupplyHouseHi Bill! The fiberglass throw away filters actual size are ½” x ½” x ¼” smaller than their nominal size shown. They don't have a specified MERV rating, but if they did it would be on the lower end, about 2-3 MERV.
