Boiler Maintenance Made Easy
I have a several clients with outside loops on their hydronic systems and using Cryo-Tek 100 seems to keep the system cleaner than straight softened tap water. I do monitor pH on a regular basis and adjust as necessary but running a mixture of 50/50 Cryo-Tek 110 and softened water has kept these boilers running free of calcium buildup. Today I opened a Triangle Tube, Prestige Solo 110 system for heat exchanger inspection, that has been in service for 17-years. Virtually no scale at all. little bit of black, iron oxide within the deaerator screen from a couple of pieces of black pipe used within the system during installation. I truly believe it is the Cryo-Tek that keeps these systems so clean. The price over the years has gone up to the point, many customers are electing not to replace during the 5-year system flush. So, we'll see how that works out for them.

Too much for the job.
Its a great product, but with today's low mass/tankless boilers 5 gallons is often too much for the project. I'm hopeful the 1 gallon containers will be reintroduced in the future to accommodate smaller projects.

Supply House made good on a missing item
UPS failed to deliver one of the two items ordered.
I called Supply house and I was told to wait one day to see if the missing item was delivered.
I called Supply House back two days later and informed them the item was not delivered. Supply House immediately shipped a replacement.
They could not have been nicer

Good product for geo loops
It is best to use distilled or deionized water when using an inhibited propylene glycol antifreeze. Hardness minerals in city and well water can cause the corrosion inhibitors in a glycol solution to precipitate and will reduce its ability to protect metals in the system. Avoid the use of well water if at all possible. Trace amounts of bacteria in a water supply can degrade antifreeze so clean bacteria free water is needed to avoid issues in the future.
