ARD8TZ Automatic TrueZone Honeywell
Electrically controlled damper, easy setup for extra control on a room that gets ether too hot when heating, or too cold when cooling. Easy switch from Normally Closed to Normally Open setup.
In my scenario I set it as normally closed. Installed it in the path of the vent that is supplying the "zoned" room. Then wired an extra thermostat in that room to control the vent. The vent is now blowing air only when that extra thermostat says to the damper, thus the temperature in the room stays normal.
I now plan on buying more of these dampers in order to make may house fully Zone Controlled, but that would mean purchasing more thermostats for every zone and controller - for example HZ311.

I believe I'll buy this product again
Added this damper to a 8" register duct that I only wanted to operate when in fan only or AC is operating. So I connected it to the "W" furnace circuit. Works perfectly.
