Great pump for many uses
Have used and abused these pumps for years. Have one that is over 20 years old and it still works like new. Have run dry for over an hour with no ill effect. Have pumped crawl spaces, basements, pool covers and other things.

Repacement Sump Pump
The 5.5-ASP Sump Pump was purchased to replace a like model sump pump that was installed in my basement for 10+ years. The original pump had two switches replaced due to the high usage of the pump. I chose to stay with the Little Giant Pump Series as the area where my original sump pump was installed was build around the design of the 5.5-ASP. There are other sump pumps on the market that are listed for less, but since I have experience with this brand I felt it was best to replace my sump pump with the type and brand that has been successful for my requirements. The pump is required to pump under the foundation drain water to a height of 8 feet before pumping to another exit run of another 15 feet without any problems. At times the pump runs steady due to the amount of water while other times it will cycle. In either case it has performed in an outstanding manner.

Reasonable Price, Good Delivery time
I have used these pumps for years in the pool industry. I switch out the hose fitting to an 1 1/2 barb fitting, this way I can connect an 1 1/2 pool vacuum hose. It drains pools quickly.
