Slantfin recently began offering different colors, however we will not be carrying them.
No, they must be purchased separately.
While they are available in longer lengths, due to shipping restrictions and the high chances of damages we are unable to offer them, unfortunately.
Yes, the brackets slide in and out, they can come out of the cover completely.
The brackets are not welded. They are separate and slide into the cover from the end.
The covers have slightly different looks and dimensions. Please refer to the pictures at the links below for specifics. http://s3.pexsupply.com/manuals/1305300129886/56175_PROD_FILE.pdf http://s3.pexsupply.com/manuals/1304955191219/55930_PROD_FILE.pdf

These covers are made of rust-resistant galvanized steel, but we would recommend Baseboarders covers (see link below) if you are looking for a more rust-proof solution. http://www.baseboardheatercovers.com/warranty/
No. The covers we purchased are galvanized, but not rust proof. In a high moisture room (like a bathroom) they will rust.
Correct!
We did purchase this for our bathroom. They did rust, but we sanded down and repainted and had our kids actually USE the bathroom fan and no further rusting occurred.

We used them in bathrooms but have since moved so I don't know if they have rusted. They were easy to install and looked great. Our previous covers were original and 40 years old and had only a little rust. I would recommend them.
Although they are not galvanized or stainless, they seem to hold up to the moist conditions of a bathroom fairly well. I have had these in my bathroom for 15+ years and they are fine. Sent from my iPad
The splice plate is only included with the 8-foot cover (note that cover-only models do not include the heating element). It would be all you need to connect the two covers as long as the gap between them is smaller than 2" and they are installed on the same flat wall (i.e. no corners).
Personally, I would contact them to get that info correct.
That's all you will need.
Yes. Every section has a splice kit. Sent from my HTC One™ S on T-Mobile. America’s First Nationwide 4G Network.
The splice plate should cover the connection between the two sections. Other than the end caps, you will not need anything else for the project. Well, maybe a little luck :)
Yes, the covers are identical. Cover-only models include everything that comes with the complete assembly except for the element.
End caps are not included and must be purchased separately if you need them. Part 101405000 is the right end cap and part 101404000 is the left end cap.
Yes, these end caps are parts 101431000 and 101432000 and they will work with these covers.
