Yes hey can be connected to each other. They are just different styles.
No, they are only offered in sweat ends.
In general copper is fine for open loop systems, so they should be. Slantfin do not explicitly say they can be used in open loop systems though.
The front should just press back on. Hook the bottom of the front piece and then while applying a bit of upward pressure rotate the top back and onto the brackets.
Just hang the cover on the brackets from the top (using the bent lip on the back of the cover). Then push in on the bottom of the cover (where the brackets are) and the bottom lip should just snap onto the bracket.
The BTU rating is a per-foot basis assuming the water temp is 180 deg F and the room temp is about 70 deg F.
Ratings for baseboard, and other radiant heaters, are typically given by the liner foot at some specified temperature and flow rate. In this case the per foot BTU output of 600 is with 180 degree F. water and a flow rate of 4 gpm (gallons per minute). So, if you will have 4 gpm and water at 180 deg. F, take your BTU requirement based on the square footage, and divide by the 600 BTUs to get the total length of baseboard you need. There is a chart you can use for other water temperatures and at 1 gpm. Link here: http://s3.pexsupply.com/manuals/***.****41/55869_PROD_FILE.pdf Hope this helps, Joseph.
you have to purchase left and right end caps separately.
No, it doesn't. It does however come with a small piece to seam two units together. But its like 2.5" about. If you need more space you should get I think its the 4" or 6" seam. But to answer your question, no end caps.
They come with splice fittings. End caps must be purchased separately. Make sure you order with right or left ends as they are different.
No, the end caps must be purchased separately.
No this item doesn't come with end caps. Because it can be joined to other base boards at angles or terminated with a cap.
It is a light, eggshell color. Not bright white (i.e. computer paper).
It's not bright white. It's more neutral or off white. It's not tan or beige.
Under my CFL bathroom lighting, it appears to be more of a slight beige-white (antique white) when viewed along side my American Standard pure white bathtub. You can see a slight contrast between them. Hope this helps. -Joe
Yes, it is designed for hot water (not steam).
Sure they can. I'm using them in my house using hot water from an outdoor wood furnace. Works great! ken “A state of war only serves as an excuse for domestic tyranny,” Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn
Can hook this base heater in place a radiator with a one pipe on the left side
The 3/4" E-75 that comes with these baseboards is available as a stand-alone part (item number 101002080 for 8 feet, 101002060 for 3 feet, and 101002060 for 6 feet).
The final answer should come from Pex after they discuss this with the factory. When I bought my units, I think they came pre-packaged from the factory, so this probably is not something they are prepared to do. Anyway, I imagine the cost of the enclosure would be small compared to the cost of the heating element.
Baseline 2000 models were introduced during the 1990s, so they likely wouldn't be an exact match. You may want to look at the dimensions on Slant/Fin's Fine/Line models to see if they are a closer match.
Our baseboard was 30+ years old and Baseline 2000 was the closest thing I could find...hope this helps.
Very hard to do , but if you do allot leg work you will find something very close if not the same. go by brand name when hunting. Good luck Rick
