I purchased this new high efficiency circulator to replace an old failed taco 007 in service for years. I'm starting with the ones in my continuous loops as these use the most power. It was an easy installation especially the electrical. Within 24-48 hours the circulator status changed to green indicating it is in energy saving mode. This is running on a continuous loop for a heat exchanger feeding 4 zones. I calculated the expected savings and show a return in just 2-3 years. I will only replace as the old ones fail. I am heating 10,000 sq ft with three continuous loops and a dozen zones.

Quiet and lower electric useage
I replaced a 15 year old 007 that was still running but I was interested to see if this would lower my electric useage. After one month running in this brutal Winter I noticed my electric bill was lower than previous month. The lower TDH of 10 feet was a concern in this zone with cast iron baseboard and some Wirsbo radiant tubing but it moves the water along well.

Wow - lives up to the billing
Started up smoothly, power draw immediately went to 5% of what it had been. Replaced my 2nd continuous circulator immediately, same result. Easy payback project, will also put less pressure on my battery backup system.

Q: In the video for the flange connections it says to stick with the same material (cast iron to cast iron, etc) but many brass (with valves and press connections) are available.
