So my HVAC guy did our annual inspection and told me that the capacitor was "Down 3" and "still works but should be replaced." "Buy the Titan 70/5, it's American made!" So i immediately went to Supplyhouse.com. I love these guys. They have every part known to man AND they are so nice and helpful. I'm sure there's a grumpy guy that works there somewhere but I've never talked to him. They must hide him in the back. Anyway the 70/5 arrive 1 day earlier than they quoted and in perfect condition. My HVAC guy had shown me how to replace them, saving me a $100 service call. I pulled the safety and removed the cover. I immediately noticed the 70/5 was considerably shorter than the one that was installed. Upon looking at the installed capacitor I see that it is completely different and will not work with what was ordered/received. So Supplyhouse.com did an outstanding job, my HVAC guy told me the wrong part. I'll survive. It was an honest mistake. I spoke with Supplyhouse.com and the were great. They are currently handling my return of these two capacitors and yesterday sent me an email telling me that the replacement capacitors are shipped and on the way. Pretty great service. I've bought about $1,500 worth of stuff from Supplyhouse.com for my home this year. They are awesome to work with and I plan to continue to patronize them as long as they continue to provide me great service and support. Thank you.

I switched to the Titan HD line of capacitors about 3 yrs ago because the Chinese capacitors, that I had been getting locally, were failing at too hi of a rate. The Titan HD's have proved to be much better. I have not had a single one, that I installed, fail yet. I have found a couple of bad ones in the field but, I could say that of any manufacturer's capacitors. The Titan HD line of capacitors are amongst the best available IMO. Recently I have noticed that the 70 + 5 size Titan HD's have been coming with some air space in the oil. I can hear the sloshing while handling them. Supply House.com has contacted the manufacturer with my concern. The manufacturer says that this is normal. I'm not completely buying that. So far they seem to be working fine. Time will tell.
