The MiniBloc may be mounted either vertically or horizontally.
Functionally yes, however Viega stipulates that its warranty will only extend to their own brand tubing.
The outlet ports are 1/2" for 1/2" pex. The inlet or supply threads are proprietary. Supply adapters must be purchased separately and are required to install this product. They are available in 3/4" or 1". http://www.supplyhouse.com/MANABLOC-Supply-Adapters-764000
Yes, miniblocs can be used with stainless steel clamps.
Yes, you can.
The 3 port minibloc is 8-1/4" from end to end and 4-1/8" wide.
They come with the 1/2" outlet adapters but not the supply adapters. If this is a pass through you will supply adapters for both ends. If this is the end of a line you will need one supply adapter and a supply end cap.
Each Minibloc must be used for either all hot or all cold outlets.
This is for just one type, either hot or cold. They give you little colored discs to put on the valves (blue for cold, red for hot). But you can't do both, it's not internally partitioned like some of the bigger manifolds.
The bloc only has an input for hot or cold but not both. You will have to purchase two blocs and put them end to end if you want to have both hot and cold.
It is only for hot or cold. Must use 2 separate manifolds for hot & cold.
It can serve one or the other. It cannot serve both. This manifold has a single chamber. You would have to purchase a larger one that has dual chambers or purchase multiples of this one. Many people use these in a branch system where the water is not all home ran. It defeats the purpose of home running, but can be more efficient for hot water and the amount of pex you have to purchase. --Make a Small Loan, Make a Big Difference - Check out http://www.kiva.org/to Learn How!
No. It is an either or situation as there is only one common channel. You can purchase a 2nd manifold and butt them together end to end. Use one for hot water and the other for cold.
The MINIBLOC that you have indicated here is designed for either hot or cold but not both simultaneously. If you want one for both hot and cold you need to look at the MANABLOC.
Unfortunately, no one offers such a manifold with 3/4" outlets at this point.
