Complicated question. I use the thermostat for hot water heating and ceiling ducted air conditioning. I set the fan switch to "auto". When the thermostat calls for heating, the fan does not turn on. When the thermostat calls for cooling, the fan comes on automatically. Dr. Wish

There is a switch that goes from cool to heat. Switch it to HEAT position, also you can increase the temperature by pressing the up arrow button.
It will not beep. It will flash "BATT" when the batteries need to be changed.
No, not all 80 series White Rodgers thermostats will work with a 24V and/or millivolt system. The 1F80-361 listed will work in a millivolt system. This is also a low voltage unit that you will have to connect to a 24v system.
