Heat Pump Thermostat
This is the correct replacement for 1F95-1271 or 1F95-1231 Water Furnace OEM.
I had problems when I first installed. Called the help line. They were no help. After a lot of trouble shooting I did fine the problem. This unit has a "power stealing assist" to save battery use. This is not compatible with my Water Furnace Geo Thermal System. Once I turned OFF the switches for this option everything worked.

Great product, BUT----
This would have been a 5 star product but: The firmware on this product was different than the firmware in the original thermostat (bout 6 years old). because the documentation is a bit vague, I finally had to connect with technical support. 1) Transferring ALL of the settings from old to new did not work. After about 2 hours of failure I finally went to an authorized dealer. It took him a while to discover the real issue: The back plate to the thermostats only looked the same, they had different pin assignments. After wiring to the new back plate using his "cheat sheet" things finally worked. Technical support should have known about the connection changes. BUT - I still have an almost non issue - The documentation fails to explain what "EM mode" means / does. I am saying I would recommend to friend WITH RESERVATIONS

I am so glad that you're still carrying this product. We have two furnaces in our home and one thermostat stopped working. Excellent using with Waterfurnace Envision and Synergy 3
Just remember once hooked up you will need to go into settings and program for heat pump settings. Very simple if you read the instructions, kind of important!

I would purchase the product again.
I had 4 White-Rogers 1F95-1271 touchscreen thermostats with my heat pump systems that were install 2008. One of the four screens froze up and needed to be replaced. I was able to purchase 4 each White-Rogers 1F95-1277 touchscreen thermostats as they were the recommended replacement for the 1F95-1271 in 6/2021. I matched the color coded wiring to same letter labeling from the 1F95-1271 to 1F95-1277 thermostats for no problems.

Saved a bunch of money
My wife dropped a picture on t stat it freaked out and turned furnace and a/c on at same time. Had service contract with with local service company they disconnected furnace wire I was out of town for work. They tried to tell my wife a new t stat was 450 dollars. She called and I told here to send me pic of stat numbers used supply house in the past looked up and found. Ordered installed is same as 6 yr old one save a bunch . Thank you. 🤓👍

It cannot be dimmed, but the display light can be turned off- it will then only go on temporarily while you are interacting with the touchscreen. This setting is accessed in the main setup, turn off continuous display lighting.

In programming mode, check step 13. If it is on, then the display will stay on continuously. In off, factory default), the display comes on when you touch the screen stays on for a short time and then goes off. See page six of the operation manual. You can not dim the backlight of the display but it would be easier to sleep at night if the backlight went off. When I've installed these in homes I leave it in the factory setting. Q: It seems that the thermostat will not trigger the attic fan on a heat-pump based unit to shut-off. The heat pump itself comes on and off based on the temperature but the fan stays on. I had to unplug power to the attic unit to kill it. Resetting the thermostat did not seem to help. Is the thermostat bad?
