    Nice water heater

Nice stand alone unit, works great for my family of 5. Heavy for install, help will be required. Shipping company is the most difficult part of the transaction but other than a reschedule due to a snowstorm it all worked out. Just plan to stay on top of them to ensure good communication.

    I will consider purchasing again

Supply House was great to work with. AO Smith was a challenge. Installed water heater in Three (3) hours. Worked normal for several days. Restarted pilot light and functioned a few more days. After several additional pilot light failures called AO Smith for assistance. The service contact challenged the install and set up. Eventually a service call was approved for Proline the local AO Smith representative. Proline was great to work with (We will call them if future service is required). Thermocouple was replaced and operated for another couple of weeks. Multiple failures later called AO Smith again for assistance. The agent made every excuse available the install or environment was causing the failures. ( The old water was the same model and installed for 20 years and never failed. We replace due to age only). We were told to contact HVAC contractor to survey and correct at our expense the HVAC contractor. I asked if we would be reimbursed for the cost if the water heater was the issue, No comment from AO Smith. After a heated conversation AO Smith agreed to sent the Thermostat assembly, no charge for shipping and warranty install. After the replacement was installed the water heater has not failed. AO Smith also approved the technician to bypass the over heat coupler. It remains bypassed to this date. When the customer is more knowledgeable than the service agents and the agents don't listen there might be a problem

Okay, this is the second review for the same product.

I've installed this water heater twice. The first time there was a problem with the manufacturer process and both SupplyHouse and A.O. Smith stepped up and resolved this issue expeditiously. For that I am happy.

    No problems at all!

I was a bit worried about shipping a large 75 gallon water heater and it arrived in great condition and absolutely problems installing it with our plumber.

Heater is Great , delivery terrible

Hi, The review is for the product which works perfect. Water is coming out hot and product looks built to last. The delivery service though didn't do so well. When they called to setup a day and time to deliver I asked if they would be able to bring it to my basement , the guy said absolutely. This was great since the water heater is close to 300 lbs. when it finally came it was one guy and he said they are not allowed to move it downstairs. Fortunately I called some friends over and we were able to move it down. Bottom line is the heater works well. They delivery though was not good.

    Does its job well

Replaced a 30 year old 50 Gallon AO Smith with this 70 gallon heater. Everything was straight forward. Be ready to connect to 1" ports instead of 3/4" ports and increasing the duct size from 3" to 4". Fired right up and heats water quick.
