    Works great

Bought this a few years ago and it's quiet and works great. Still running strong and quiet. Replaced 2 Bradfords in 4 years before deciding to go with AO and fills our 120 gallon tub no problem.

    AO SMITH 74 GAL PRO-MAX

HAVE HAD FOR 5 YEARS. VERY NOISY AND REQUIRED A FEW REPAIRS. THESE WERE PUT INTO OUR COMMUNITY AND MANY INDIVIDUALS HAVE REPLACED THEM. I WOULD NOT BUY ANOTHER AO SMITH WATER HEATER. LOOKING TO REPLACE MINE NOW.

I would buy this item again &again. Oops! I already have!

We use these water heaters in commissary kitchens - super reliable! And we get the all from SupplyHouse. The service is amazing, the people are fabulous, and it arrives so fast I sprained my neck! :)

Faulty thermopile 2 days after installation - bad warranty!

The thermopile failed 3 separate times. Warranty service at a.o.smith is slow, cumbersome, and unsatisfactory. Even though labor is covered for the 1st year they would only reimburse $100 for the service charge to replace this. I don't know about you but nobody is coming out to do anything for that amount where I live. Go with bradford white and save yourself the money, time, and headaches.

Just as good as 1st one I bought

Price is always $300-400 cheaper than everywhere else. This is 2nd AO Smith 75-gallon heater I bought from Supply House. Product is just as described and delivered without problems. Don't be scared away by cheap price, this company actually accurately describes products and delivers as promised. Highly recommend

    Supply House Great Company

Love the tank. Works great. Awesome Customer Service. Has issues with two different delivery companies, not Supply House. They went out of their way to make sure the water heater got to my house. Customer Service was excellent and after nearly two weeks, we have delightfully hot water!

Q: Specs say it does not have C 3 Technology. What is C 3 Technology? Is it the same a FVIR?

The AO Smith products are based on "Corderite Combustion Containment" known as "C3 Technology". The C3 Technology design features a sealed (from non designated air intake openings) combustion chamber and a "flame arrestor" component. The FVIR acronym stands for "Flammable Vapor Ignition Resistant." So this water heater does not have the C3 technology as described.

A BTU is the quantity of heat needed to raise one pound of water by one degree Fahrenheit. More BTUs mean more heating power. Read more: http://www.ehow.com/facts_5585036_btu-stand-water-heaters_.html#ixzz2iMjhQimf

The water heater in question is rating for 0-7700 feet. If you are at a higher altitude, you will want to contact your local company to see what will need to be done to run the unit at a higher altitude.

When I purchased my unit, I was told that there was no difference. One is more expensive simply to cover the cost of the warranty. I generally have bad luck collecting on warranties, so I elected the cheaper one. Randy
