With an 0.59 Uniform Energy Factor, this water heater is not ENERGY STAR certified. It carries a 10-year limited tank warranty, and meets Low NOx emission requirements.

tank leaked after 6yrs. AO Smith quality went down
After just 6 years, my tank leaked. basement flooded and will be getting a high water bill. I own multiple properties and always used AO Smith. This is the 2nd tank that leaked before its time. The return was a hassle. They wanted me to go back to the original place where I bought it. Meanwhile, I the shop went out of business. They sent me to AF supplies- will cost $200 to process and $100 delivery.

Use it for 1 family house. Works great, plenty of hot water. Very quiet.

Not up to par for an AO Smith product
I have used many AO Smith products in the past with no problems. Upon installation of this water heater i noticed the hot and cold water connections were not plumb. I had to use copper flex tubes to the supplies so they were plumb with the existing copper lines.
