- Power Vented Water Heater - Designed for installations where atmospheric units cannot be used. Exhaust gases are vented under positive pressure directly out of the building through the roof or the wall.
- Powerful Blower Motor - Our significantly quiet design has greater resistance to outside winds and the power to vent in many difficult venting situations.
- Horizontal and Vertical Venting - PVC, ABS or CPVC (Maximum equivalent vent length on reverse side).
- Advanced ScreenLok Technology Flame Arrestor Design - Flame arrestor is designed to prevent ignition of flammable vapor outside of the water heater (excluding RG1PV55H6N & RG2PV75H6N).
- Flammable Vapor Sensor - Electronic sensor prevents burner operation if flammable vapors are detected. The sensor will also prevent operation if there is ongoing flammable vapor burn inside the combustion chamber
- Maintenance-Free - No regular cleaning of air inlet openings or flame arrestor is required under normal conditions
- Sight Window - Offers a view into the combustion chamber to observe the operation of the pilot and burner.
- lFactory-Installed Hydrojet Total Performance System - Cold water inlet sediment reducing device helps prevent sediment build-up in tank. This increases first hour delivery, while minimizing temperature build-up at top of tank.
- Vitraglas Lining - Bradford White tanks are lined with an exclusively engineered enamel formula that provides superior tank protection from the highly corrosive effects of hot water. This formula (Vitraglas) is fused to the steel surface by firing at a temperature of over 1600°F (871ºC).
- Non-CFC Foam Insulation - Covers the sides and top, reducing the amount of heat loss. This results in less energy consumption, improved operation efficiencies, and jacket rigidity.
- Water Connections - 3/4" NPT factory-installed true dielectric fittings.
- Factory-Installed Heat Traps - Design incorporates a flexible disk that reduces heat loss in piping and eliminates the potential for noise generation.

Very Pleased
We have replaced working 16 year old Rheem natural gas 50 gallon hot water tank with RG1PV50S6N last Saturday and we are pleased with its performance so far. We set 10 degrees F less than the previous heart but still has same hearing levels with hot water. The power vent is much quiter and hope to see less natural gas bill in the coming months. 6 years parts Warrany and as a added bonus my contractor gave two years labour warranty. Can't go wrong.

I would not buy this water heater again
I am surprised at the noise level of the blower/vent system. I have had guest ask what the noise is. I never heard the blower on our previous heater and thought that perhaps it was me, but when people mention it, I know it is loud. The heater works well and we have lots of hot water, but next time I will be looking at a different model/brand.

Time will tell
I replaced with the same model. Older one was at least 5 yrs old that started leaking. The blower vent is whisper quiet so, Im not sure what people are talking about when mentioning its loud. Venting issues? Plenty of hot water and fast. I will say that its expensive and with the proper maintenance it better last.

Four Years and Counting
I had a 50 gallon atmospheric natural gas water heater installed. The T&P valve failed at 2 years in service. The flange on the tank was stripped. It looked like the flange taper thread wasn't chased after welding it on the tank. Just poor-quality manufacturing. I should have stuck with AO Smith.

Model RG1PV50S6N - I do not recommend
We had the Bradford White Model RG1PV50S60 installed 6 years and 5 months ago. It started leaking and had horrible corrosion. In my 28 years as a home owner, every water heater I replaced was no less than 15 years old. Nor have I ever replaced a water heater that was as expensive as this model. This unit is a big disappointment. An the fact that the warranty is only 6 years makes me think twice. I will not buy a Bradford White unit ever again - it was my first and now my last.

This is the 4th Bradford White Rg1pv50s6n19 that's gone bad.
We bought our new home in July 2002. Since that time the original heater has gone bad and 4 additional ones as well. All leaking water in a 4-5 year period. We've had a water pressure regulator put on our, expansion tank etc. We decided to go a different direction.

Replaced identical unit after 5.5 years of service. It is not acceptable for a unit of this supposed quality—pinhole leak. As labor is a major factor, not sure what my options are next time. Shortest life of any I have had in my 75+ years.

Horrible shuts off all the time
Don't know why but it always shuts off and I can't fix it stuck with freezing cold water and have had several nervous breakdowns and had to call plumber because this thing automatically shuts off and I'm stuck with ICE cold water
