Description

Like the TTW1®, the TTW2® model is also power vented but offers higher BTU/Hr. inputs, additional insulation and larger gallon capacities. The TTW2® also offers greater installation flexibility with the ability to vent through a wall or roof, with either 3 or 4 PVC, ABS or CPVC pipe.

Features:
  • Powerful Blower Motor - Our significantly quiet design has greater resistance to outside winds and the power to vent in many difficult venting situations.
  • Factory Installed Hydrojet®2 Total Performance System - Cold water inlet sediment reducing device helps prevent sediment build up in tank. Increases first hour delivery of hot water while minimizing temperature build up at top of tank.
  • Vitraglas® Lining - Bradford White tanks are lined with an exclusively engineered enamel formula that provides superior tank protection from the highly corrosive effects of hot water. This formula (Vitraglas®) is fused to the steel surface by firing at a temperature of over 1600° F.
  • Honeywell Self Diagnostic Electronic Gas Control - Intelligent gas control with spark to pilot ignition system eliminates the constant burning pilot. This results in savings of pilot gas during stand by periods (120 V.A.C.).
    • Enhanced Performance - Proprietary algorithms provide enhanced First Hour Delivery ratings and tighter temperature differentials.
    • Advanced Temperature Control System - Microprocessor constantly monitors and controls burner operation to maintain accurate and consistent water temperature levels.
    • Intelligent Diagnostics - An exclusive green LED light prompts the installer during start-up and provides ten different diagnostic codes to assist in troubleshooting.
    • Pilot On Indication - Flashing green LED provides positive indication that pilot is on.
    • Horizontal and Vertical Venting - With 3" or 4" PVC, ABS or CPVC (Maximum equivalent vent length on reverse side).
    • 2" Non-CFC Foam Insulation - Covers the sides and top of tank to save energy by retarding loss of heat. Also increases jacket rigidity.
  • Water Connections - 3/4" NPT factory installed true dielectric fittings.
  • Factory Installed Heat Traps - Design incorporates a flexible disk that reduces heat loss in piping and eliminates the potential for noise generation.
  • Protective Magnesium Anode Rod.
  • 3/4" NPT Side Connections.
  • Pedestal Base.
  • T&P Relief Valve - Included.
  • Brass Drain Valve - Durable tamper proof design.

Heater is a propane gas (LP) model and features a titanium stainless steel propane burner

After some minor issues, I'm very satisfied

Purchased this water heater as a direct replacement for the 17 year old Bradford White water heater that has served me well, but was starting to leak. The water heater delivery was a day later than originally promised, and the delivery man would not go any further than my driveway. But I finally muscled this huge heater to the basement and was going to install it, but heard noises from the water heater, every time it was moved, which I finally figured was the flu baffle contacting the flu housing. I called Supply House but they could not tell me if this was an issue. I called Bradford White and they suggested I "have my contractor" take off the blower and inspect the flu baffle. I was concerned that I might void my warranty by doing so, but finally went ahead and I found the baffle was slightly out of place (apparently happened during shipment) and contacting the flu. So after repositioning the baffle, I installed the water heater. My vent piping had to be altered since Bradford White moved the location of the blower from the way it was on the old water heater, and the gas valve location also required some new piping, but when I plugged it in after installation, it came to life perfectly and we have hot water again! So I'm hoping I get 17 years out of this one. So far so good.

Shipping was not good

Finally received it after it sat at St Paul for 5 days and then Duluth for 5 days. Went to put it in and it kept kicking back off. Called someone who was retired from installing hot water heaters and he came over and worked on it for an hour. Figured out the ignition wire had a bare spot on it from shipping. Installed ignition wire from old unit and it worked.

Have not installed yet

I have not installed the water heater yet. Arrived in just a couple days and in good condition. No dents or tears in the box, secured well to a pallet. If it performs as well as my old Bradford White I will be pleased.

Quality Heater

Hook up lines and exhaust. Plug unit in and go. Dielectric fittings already installed. Terminating Exhaust Elbow and 2"x3" adapter included. Our heater is located in a 6x10 equipment room. Our 20yr old State heater would heat the entire room. This unit is so efficient the room temps have plummeted. Shipping was quick with zero damage.

This is a great product

Just got this installed over the weekend. Installation was easy and this thing puts out a lot of hot water. I set the controls just like the one i had and later had to turn the temperature down the water was so hot.

Great to work with

Supply House was great to work with. Purchasing from them saved hundreds of dollars because I avoided the mark-up of local plumbing warehouses. Got a 75 gallon tank which the plumber installed with no difficulty. Would use them as a source for all my plumbing needs again. The local shipper was lame. But cannot fault supply warehouse for that. Our tank arrived on a Thursday and they did not put it down for a Friday delivery because their schedule was already made out. We went and picked it up ourselves to get our hot water back on faster. So you may have to hassle the shipper to expedite delivery.

I would strongly recommend this water heater

Great quality construction and features, long service life. Very good value, did not cost that much more than lesser quality models or models with less features.

Q: What is the advantage of the blower on top? Thank you.

The power vent units have blowers and are for areas where water heaters have to be vented out through wall or roof and there is not enough draft to carry it out. The blower forcefully makes the exchange.
