As always, the jacket design and burner enclosure give the V8 a modern, finished appearance, and it is available in multiple heating capacities that can be configured for water or steam - with or without a tankless hot water heating coil. As one of the most versatile boilers available, the V8 is intended for installation in a wide variety of home styles and sizes. Beginning October 1, 2020, 03 through 07 section V8H water boilers will be upgraded to the DOE-2021 efficiency requirement of 86% AFUE.

Q: I am not home for weeks, come back for a couple of days and go away again. Is it ok to turn off the boiler while I am not home for long periods to save oil.

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffI am not sure how big the start up process would be to turn your boiler back on, but yes, you can turn your boiler off while you are away. The biggest risk you take is the possibility of your pipes freezing because the boiler is off and the weather is at freezing temperatures. I believe most people tend to turn their boilers down to 50°F if they are going away, unless it is summer and then they will just have them turned off by a local installer or on their own. It is for you to determine.

Q: Hello I am rehabbing house with natural gas with approximate 1950 square feet what size boiler do I need with tank less hot water.And what extra parts I will need for installation? Since it is a fix and flip I am not looking for the best made gas boiler.

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffThis boiler will be sufficient unless the house requires more than 56 BTUs per square foot. You could likely get by with something smaller, but you'd need to perform a heat loss calculation in order to get a precise BTU requirement.
