Yes Mike, that is correct.
The 1" end is threaded.
Yes, this is approved for potable water applications.
no the Cello brand
This fitting (part WP3-08) has 1/2" female thread and is designed to fit over 1/2" copper pipe on the sweat side.
Neither! The female threaded end is 1/2" pipe thread. The 1/2" is a nominal size, you'll find it measures a little larger than 0.5", and it's tapered so it tightens up as it's threaded onto a matching male pipe threaded fitting. With pipe thread joint compound (pipe dope) and proper tightening, it'll hold high pressure. There's lots more detailed info available, search for "pipe threads" on the internet. BTW, the other end of that fitting is designed to be soldered onto a matching male 1/2" solder fitting, and its size is also a "nominal" 1/2", not 0.5". Sent from my Verizon Wireless 4G LTE DROID
Typically when a fitting is listed with only one measurement, the threaded portion is the same diameter as the listed diameter, so in this case, it would be a 1/2" female National Pipe Thread (NPT).
1/2" ct to 1/2" iron pipe. The treads are 1/2" pipe.
That one is 1/2 inch. If you need to go smaller you can bush it down. David
½" Scott Sandquist
no its 1/2" you want a 1/2"copper x3/8 or 1/4" female thread reducing adaptor
The thread is 1/2" NPT.
Hi, Rossco, the one I got was a 1/2" sweat to a female 1/2" npt. Robert.
It is neither, the female thread is ½” NPT. It is intended to interface between ½” copper and ½” threaded pipe (steel, brass, PVC)
There is no single fitting that can accomplish this, but you could use part WP3-16-08 along with TB12-08-04.
Yes, it is compatible.
The listed size is the nominal size. It is neither the ID nor the OD. The nominal size is the size of the copper pipe that will fit inside the adapter. A 1/2" copper pipe will fit inside a 1/2" C x F adapter, for example.
No, Cello fittings are only available in Type L.
