Description
–
The Grundfos is a compact stainless steel submersible drainage pump designed for automatic removal of groundwater, rainwater, and grey wastewater. Featuring a semi-open impeller with 0.47" solids handling, it's ideal for sump pits, stormwater basins, and light-duty effluent applications. This 1/2 HP pump operates on 115V single-phase power and includes a built-in float switch for automatic start/stop, a 10 ft plug-type power cord, and a suction strainer for debris protection. The motor is Class F insulated with thermal overload protection and is cooled by the pumped liquid via a built-in cooling jacket and riser pipe. A double shaft seal with a pre-filled oil chamber and greased-for-life bearings ensures long-term reliability. Ready for free-standing installation with a carrying handle for easy transport.

All Stainless Steel but Not recomended for Salt Water use
This pump is heavy and built like a tank. I was impressed when I pulled it out of the box. Unfortunately I was disappointed to read that it is not supposed to be used in "aggressive" water, which I found on their website to include salt water applications. If you do, you have to rinse it off when done. Huh? Bummer. I thought is would work in my sump, but that's where my water softener discharge goes. For the price, I'm not taking a chance that salt water is its Achille's heel. Now I have to send it back.

OUR ASSOCIATION WHERE I LIVE USE THIS PUMP FOR OUR
LAKE FOUNTAINS. IT REALLY PUTS OUT THE WATER FLOW
3350 RPM. THE PRICE FOR THIS PUMP WAS A REALLY GREAT PRICE.DELIVERY WAS REALLY FAST, LESS THAN A WEEK.
