Wi-Fi 9000 7-Day Programmable 3H/2C Color Touchscreen Thermostat, TH9320WF5003

Over the past year I bought both of the Honeywell WiFi enabled thermostats, the second was the touch screen version - very nice indeed! As an electrical engineer I explored all of the alternatives and came back to Honeywell as the best product, although not the cheapest. Mine are in different locations 100 miles apart but each worked right out of the box on my wifi networks at each location with different internet providers etc. They've been very useful in changing the temperatures at each location to either save fuel when away or get the places comfortable before arriving. They can also issue an email alert if the temperature drops because of a heating system failure and have other monitoring and useful features. Install and setup Instructions (manuals can be viewed on the Honeywell site) were straightforward, although if you are really all-thumbs on network devices some help might be useful there. Once installed the thermostat can be controlled from your cell phone, Ipad, computer etc and from any location worldwide. The mechanical installation was simple, just screwed to the wall as you present unit is. One caveat is that the wiring to the thermostat from the heat/AC units needs to include a wire, called the "C" wire to supply thermostat power (no batteries neede - a plus!. If you don't have it you may need to have the heating guy add it to your wiring. Most newer home home heat and AC installations have it included as mine did. (There is a workaround to provide an equivalent to the "C" wire which I didn't need to explore.) PEX Supply is quick and easy to buy from and I found their prices to be best as well. They're a favorite vendor of mine for household systems. I give Honeywell and this product all thumbs-up in every category and hope they expand their product line to include more household devices .

I had nine Wi-Fi 9000 at my summer home for about three months. They were easy to install and set up. However, for several days now Honeywell's MyTotalConnectComfort website (which provides remote access to Honeywell's internet-enabled thermostats) stopped working! It shows all my nine thermostats as active, I can remotely change settings, etc. but three of my thermostats have been temporarily turned off for air handler's maintenance for four days now!!! I rely on these thermostats to remotely monitor temperature in the house (to protect the house from freezing in winter if heating fails) yet Honeywell's website is out to lunch, pretending everything is working just fine...DO NOT rely on these thermostats for critical monitoring of the temperature in the house...I am really not pleased, having spent close about 2 grand on the thermostats, only to find out that internet access to them is unreliable...There were other intermitted problems with internet access to them but this is just scandalous unreliability of service that must be reliable...
