Hey Jimmy, Yes, the "D" line of the Slant Fin products are the covers only. We have replaced our covers in two rooms and are planning to do the remaining rooms this summer. Replacing the covers without removing the actual radiators can be tricky, though, depending on where they're installed. Getting the old ones off can also be challenging, but it's usually possible, depending on the location. If you have a plumber do it, they can drain the system, cut the pipes and pull the actual radiator out - then changing the cover is simply a matter of pulling off the old one and putting up the new. Then have the plumber put the radiator back on and weld the pipes. We have one bathroom that has such a tight fit we will have to have the radiator taken out in order to change the cover in this way - we're leaving it until last! Good luck.
Yes, you can replace your existing covers with these covers, as it is the cover only. Many customers purchase them for replacing their old baseboard covers.
Q: Do these covers come with support brackets? If no, how many do you recommend for a 5-ft run?

Q: Good afternoon, You are describing this unit as the (cover only). Would this be the same product as a (dummy baseboard) slant fin unit which includes everything but the copper/fin element? i'm remodeling my first floor and the old covers are beyond painting. Naturally, one has to purchase end caps for all units so this product appears to be the wall piece and the front piece. Am i correct? Sincerely, Bruce Gibson

Q: Your color description is "Nu White." The old covers are a greyish color and I want the new covers to be white. Is Nu White white, or is it the old greyish color (The old ones are about 30 years old)?
